Gratitude where there is love
Love is in the air, everywhere I look around. Thanks John Paul Young for my introduction this week. It certainly seemed to be the case this week, as hundreds of people planned special moments for their loved ones to celebrate Friday 14th. We all know love is not just about the one day but every day.
However, it can sometimes be taken for granted so if this one day keeps us on track I think it’s a good thing don’t you? I am truly grateful for the love I have in my life as it is everything. Of course, it comes with its highs and lows, a bit like drug, but if you roll with it you become much stronger. So a big thanks to those who stick with me on my roller coaster of love.
I was once told by a friend, if you want to know the true meaning of love read 1 Corinthians 13, so today I’d like to share an excerpt with you.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude
It does not demand its own way
It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Love is the greatest feeling of all and should be shown and appreciated as often as possible.
